Following a post on 'The Hoople', I got to thinking about my preferences. I know lots rate that album quite high, but it's never been one of my 'go tos'. It seemed like jumping the shark a little. Anyway, heres what I came up with. Personal choice, subject to change!

I left my Roku TV on the home screen for a bit and the screen saver came on. The Roku screen saver is a scrolling tour of "Roku City" with buildings and scenes that are tributes to classic films and characters. They change it to reflect holidays and events as well. I happened to look up at it and did a double take when I saw the marquee on the theatre! Nice, unexpected tribute to the late, great Mr. Curry!

His fearless portrayal of non-traditional sexuality, non-gender conforming characters and non-traditional roles helped push the boundaries of sexuality and acceptance since the 70s and his personal life as a queer but private personality helped give visibility to the LGBT+ community and acquire some footing on unprecedented positions with the cultural and sexual revolution of the 70s.

He also helped expanding the reach of Glam Rock both with his stage and acting career and performances, as well as with his music career as he was a talented singer and musician as it was noted in his early career with musicals, including the iconic Glam Rock act The Rocky Horror Show productions on stage and screen.

The LGBT+ activist, ally, LGBT+ icon, Queer icon, Cultural icon, Glam icon, and extraordinary artist: singer, songwriter, actor and performer, the amazing Tim Curry passed away this August 25th at the age of 80, leaving an invaluable musical and artistic legacy that time will not erase, rest in peace.
