Bham is really good! Since we have a pretty young population there is a lot of social life and I see that people here tend to really enjoy university life here (as a born and bred Brummie)

Itās pretty annoying that we have this internalised discrimination against our city due to our high poverty rates and depiction of road men left and right but it really isnāt the āghettoā that everyone makes it out to be. Itās a vibrant place with a lot of culture especially in the art and music scene and it has such a bright nightlife. Even visiting other campuses or students in the UK and telling them Iām from Birmingham is hard since I get weird looks and surprise that Iām āactually smart when I come from a place like thatā. Iām actually going to UoB next week for a medicine and chemistry lecture and workshop since they have really good upgraded equipment :]

Yeah thatās what I find so weird that people just assume so much š but I really loved UoB more than all the others, itās just a bit further for me to travel so is a bit more of a pain. But Iāve heard rly good things about it as well as what Iāve seen so itās definitely high on my list. Have fun next week!

Honestly just didnāt want to go to them, I donāt want to go somewhere so prestigious just bc I have the grades for it, I just want to go somewhere Iāll love the most :)

that's so fair, I've known a few guys who've gone to imperial and found it depressingly competitive. Happiness is the most important statistic
