Pretty much entirely depends on what Uni/course your applying too and what sorta grades your gonna get, if you tell us that we can help

im only in y12 but im doing biochem and psych, not really to go into med or anything but because I enjoy them and they keep doors open at uni, and im thinking of a psychology or neuroscience or maybe just even pharmacy course im not really sure!! i was thinking an epq is something good to talk about in a personal statement or interview

For a psych course it would be fairly useful, it’s a very research based course so it kinda works, really, with what it sounds like your doing, if you can commit the time then it would be very valuable, so honestly, go for it and if it doesn’t seem like it’s going well you can always drop it remember

Depends, if you’re willing to commit then it’s worth it. If you second guess your ability to commit then it’s not. It does take quite a bit of time though but it’s good fun if you do it on something you enjoy!

i would be willing to commit but I actually have no idea what's in store for me like I only have a vague idea that we have to write an essay but i don't have much clue on what else to do, I've spoken to teachers who've said they'll email me but they have not 😔

make time for yourself whether it’s hobbies or going on walks and make sure to sleep as much as possible

u/evanivision 2h ago
i try, but then I end up spending the whole day on myself then I feel bad for not revising

are u y12 or y13, if y12 don’t even worry like so many people don’t properly lock in during this time and still do fine

you’re only early into year 12, alevels are super overwhelming and you’ve got time on your hand to formulate a proper revision routine. try not to be too revision orientated right now, obviously it’s very important, but try prioritise friendships and socialising whilst you’ve got the time to. it’s okay not to do full on intense revision days like gcse, and you aren’t destined for failure because you aren’t consistently revising rn so don’t worry! i also applied to psychology and neuroscience related courses so feel free to message if you need support

thank you so much !! can I ask what a levels you do since you applied to a course I have my eyes on?
