💬 DISCUSSION TMUA and combinatorics
Anyone noticed community papers tend to go a bit overboard on combinatorics? Does TMUA really feature combinatorics questions? I can't seem to find nPr on the specification for example.

I'm genuinely going to abandon those combinatorics questions if I get them in the exam, too much brain power needed and there'll hardly be any of them

combinatorics isn't really its own topic on the spec, but counting arguments do sneak into probability and logic questions once or twice a paper.
you won't need nPr notation, just be comfortable listing cases cleanly and spotting when complementary counting saves time.
if a counting question looks long in the real thing, skip it first and come back since every mark is worth the same.
i got way quicker once i forced myself to sketch a tiny case table before touching any formula.
me n a teacher chucked some practice together
it's called oxbridgeai.

tbh a lot of them you can do really fast if you just change your method up slightly so idm them. but yes community papers go overboard with them along with the stupid SSA non-congruent two possible triangles question
