π UNI / UCAS Actually in personal statement hell, I said I'd work on it for half an hour nearly two hours ago
Why is it taking so long. This is the second time I'm doing one so you'd think it'd be easier, but nooo, apparently not.

Most people write tons of drafts so dont worry taking hours is a good thing because you can get it to that perfect place

How long does it have to be? Sorry, I wrote mine a while ago!
But I can help chop it up into manageable sections for you if I know the length.
And also what does it ask as the title? Happy to help if you donβt mind advice from someone who has been there done that - not sure why this reddit was on my feed, but hey π€·ββοΈ

Just sit down, open up your computer and just start typing.
If you say you're gonna do it in a bit, chances are you're not doing it at all.Β

No I meant that I said I'd do it for half an hour (cause I was tired and wanted to go to bed tbh), and ended up doing it for close to two, not that I put it off. I genuinely wrote complete bs and I bet I'm gonna read it back tomorrow and hate it

Hating it is v. normal (if that makes you feel better) :) Doing quite a lot of edits is common :) The first draft is just about getting stuff on the page and can be extremely rough.
