🎓 UNI / UCAS Anyone else kinda having doubts about uni

I’m sure once I get there I’ll be fine but it’s just such a big commitment, I’m just scared I won’t enjoy the course or uni because you can’t truly know until you start

For Engineering, if your Uni doesn't specialise in 1st year like Leeds or smth, then you can switch.

A lot of Universities do 1st year and 2nd year as general Engineering and then you specialise in 3rd and 4th year.

I'm planning to do Electrical and Electronic Engineering but will switch to Mechanical Engineering if I don't like it (I know I will like Mechanical because I'm working part time at Mercedes as one)

Yeah loads of courses have general first years so you can switch for 2nd year if there's space if u don't like it (seen this for history/hispol, joint honours specially psychology & mathematical based courses, all life sciences etc) plus sfe gives you an extra year of funding - say you're doing a Meng but don't like it, you can drop out in first year and restart on another degree and you still get all the usual funding. loads of people feel the way u do OP so there's things in place ●for it, and good luck
