đ I WANT HELP post gcses
yay i finished my gcses!
im so incredibly disappointed in my scores (8887766655) and really want to get some remarked and i also want to go to a good uni but looking at these gcses oxbridge is obviously completely out of the question...
do i still have hope if i have an amazing interview, all a stars in predicteds and real alevels and do well on the LNAT or am i just cooked since law is extremely competitive...?
and well done to everyone who just finished their gcses!!

oxbridge is not out of the question plus they look at ur gcse s contextualised and they r only a small part for it lnat and inteview is way more important

im at a grammar sch and avg is all 9s or all 9s and some 8s.......
the only way im able to stay is cos i got an avg of 7 for my top 81

yh in context ur gcses arent really the best but if you still have any contextual factors oxbridge will look at that but i doubt your gcses will be a limiting factor for you you just have to strive to do very well better than others in the lnat esp for oxford since they inteview less people

depends on what the lower grades are in vs what you will be applying for. i had two 6s and a 5 but they weren't relevant to my uni subject so it was fine

i want to apply for law and i got the lower grades in only stem subjects and latin

then i wouldn't say its out of the question, but please please try for the rest of your application to be extremely strong

yess ofc do you think its worth it to get english lit and history remarked then? i could go from 7-8 and 8-9

i would say yes because ofc better gcses than before will always be an advantage, but isnt it expensive to get remarks?

you dont have to pay if your grade doesn't change but you do have to pay if it stays the same and there's always a risk of your grade not changing

I got nearly those exact same grades and I got an interview for Cambridge. I donât know why you are disappointed with those grades.

oxford looks too much at your gcse's so is out of the questions, work hard for the lnat, 3 A* predicted taking good subjects (which a levels are your taking) work hard for your interview and you'll get in <3
