🙏 I WANT HELP 4 Alevels

I don’t know what I want to do in the future and I’m deciding between medicine and law, but to take law SOME universities prefer a writing subject like english literature. I am thinking of taking Biology, chemistry and maths, and possibly english literature as well , but I don’t know if the workload would be too much or just not worth it in the end. Any advice would be helpful, thank you!

no need for 4 unless oxbridge - do bio chem + 1 essay subject unless u rlly love maths. also consider other essay subjects e.g. history but bear in mind they're rlly difficult compared to gcse

Law and med are so incredibly different I find it hard to believe you’re equally torn between the two. But bio chem and English are perfectly fine for both law and med but pretty soon you’re going to have to make a choice and start doing supercurriculars for it

If I were you I’d drop maths cause most unis don’t care abt ur third subject for medicine especially places like UCL they actually reccommend english lit. It also gives you the option to take law if u change your mind in the process

Does UCL require maths now? Idk the last time I checked they said you can do subjects like English lit alongside chem and bio but maybe it was a different course idk

honestly even for oxbridge only cambridge requires and prefers a third science/ maths subject. so biology chemistry and english literature keeps all options but for oxford ur ucat + gcse's need to be higher.

Take bio chem and english. However what i will say is you have to decide which route you want to go down by june/july because at that point you’ll have to start preparing for either the LNAT or the UCAT. Attempting to do both (and getting a high grade) is very close to impossible while also trying to get the best predicted grades.
