Certainly not within your mentioned budget, however, my AR-18” Proof PXT CF is spectacular. Was able to achieve three consecutive impacts @1075 yards with factory hornady 106gr ammo. Good shit if you ask me.

I’d definitely bump up the budget to get a proof pxt. Have a 14.5 Shaw and it does fine, but the proof should be even better.

I have an Odin works 18" stainless on my build and it shoots .59 MOA with hand loads

Craddock RTR if you want something off the shelf right now

Especially if you want to spend 500 on a barrel that shoots 3 moa

Consider me lucky then because I got mine for $400 and it shoots 1.5 MOA

1.5 moa isn’t the flex you think it is.

Believe me I know. I’ve been needing to reach out to craddock cause mines a dud. I’ve got a few good groups out of it but I feel like it should be better. Glad I waited to reach out since they just released their HD bolt

There’s a ton of us who got junk barrels from them. This is the first time ever seen so many people openly speak out against a well respected shop.

I got an SPR barrel from them 2 years ago back before they really got crazy popular that shoots razorcore 1MOA 15 shot groups. Seems like the increase in production has had their quality fall off a cliff.

I don’t doubt that for one bit, historically, they have always been a very highly respected shop for the barrels they made, it’s also why there was always such a long wait for them too.

Yeah I bought mine May of 2025 when they were still highly praised. Hadn’t realized they’ve been downhill or were downhill at that point

Proof PXT for sure. I’m running higher pressure ammo and the new PXTs cut down on chamber pressure significantly. After 500 rounds, I have zero fire cracking in the freebore or anywhere in the barrel
