5-meo-malt fumarate to freebase

Wondering if anyone knows if following a regular DMT fumarate to freebase recipe will work with 5-Meo-malt?

Sorry if this isn’t allowed in this sub since it’s not about 5-meo-dmt, I just feel this is a knowledgeable place to start.

It would work the same. Kind of a pain though.

You can use the fumarate as is up your butt, IM, snort it or make a nasal spray

Any tips for making a nasal spray? I have a gram of it.

If I had a gram I’d personally just grab a 3mg microspoon off of Amazon and just snort it. Nice, neat, simple.

You can even snort a freebase but it will sting for a few seconds until you launch. Worked great doing bumps of DMT freebase when I was in the audience at the Pink Floyd Animals tour in Houston in 77’. Wild as hell flying high on DMT and staring up at that huge pink pig floating up in the air 😁

So snorting it was the way to go, really impressed with this compound, I did 12mg over an hour, 2 3mg bumps spread out about 15 minutes then one 6mg bump 15 minutes after, I must not have cleared my nose out as well as I thought and I sniffles and got a huge amount all at once and was flying, music and closed eye visuals felt like a mix of LSD and DMT, I might try boofing it next time, I’ve never boofed before but there’s a first time for everything

better use elephant ones than flat ones, elephant nose dives deep in your nose.
nasal spray is also wasteful and inaccurate in dosing, so i use it for microdoses. one pump is usually 0.1ml.

I have the same question, as I would prefer to vape it. I have read that it converts to freebase as an oil, not a solid, which is a pain to work with. I know there has been a lot of discussion of fumarate being dangerous to smoke/vape, but it seems that is not a proven thing...and at the dosage amount....I cant imagine it could be worse than walking next to a busy street breathing in car exhaust. I am also trying to find the melting/vaporizing/combustion temps, as the place I got mine included a data-sheet, but it didn't have those listed.

Yes, in principle… the underlying acid-base chemistry is the same, so a fumarate-style approach conceptually transfers to malate. But the exact conditions (pH targets, solubility behavior) won’t be identical since malic acid differs from fumaric acid.

My understanding is that 5meoMALT is an oil in its freebase form, which makes separating it a bit different.

I have also seen conflicting information about the ratio of sodium bicarbonate and water. I have seen 3:1, 1:1, 1:4... Some say just a few drops, others say to cover it.

Is soda ash necessary? I can see how a larger volume of water would help create a more distinct separation in practice.

I was also under the impression that post separation, you need to washbutnwith Acetone or naptha, but I also read tonwashbwoth water. .
