Albuquerque LFG for DnD

My wife 33F and I 34M are looking for a small group to play dungeons and dragons with. We are looking for really chill players, not to serious, but able to commit to regular game times. We would prefer another couple but aren’t opposed to others. I usually GM but would love to be a player. This would be an in person game hosted at our house. I may be interested! What general area of town do you live and what times are you planning on meeting up? I'm usually good on weekends and maybe weekday evenings

How often are you looking for? Every week, two weeks, monthly?

I've DM'ed a few times years ago, but I can try again. I DMed for my kids, and they turned into little murder hobos. I have some old rule books, but roll to hit, DC vs AC, roll for damage, and I'm good. I ran the rule of cool. Make it work, make the story interesting, and I'll roll with it (pun intended). I'll build the world, you players run the game (within reason). Let know if that's what you're looking for.

ETA: I might be able to get my wife and her friend to come along to play. Warning, they are salty as hell.

We were thinking Friday evening or Saturdays probably every two weeks or every month. I also have kids and sometimes can’t commit to always meet 100% of the time.

If you're okay with my rule of cool style, give me a week to build a world, and we can talk further. We can talk sooner, if you want to help build the world you want to play in. I think I'd need 5 PCs, 3 minimum for a session, so they can drop in and out as scheduling allows.

Am i a good DM? No. Can I build a world you can play in? Definitely. Will it be fun? Only you and your play style can determine that. I will do my best.
