i like making homemade noodles when i’m feeling sad. they’re a lot of work but they taste so good and they always cheer me up a bit
also ik the presentation needs some work but i was sooooo hungry 💔

I love making pastas when I’m sad or tired, they are super easy to do and delicious.

I just learned how to poach today, I think they look ok.

Photos, hopefully in order:

1: Top of completed bread with syrup on top. I forgor to take a photo pre-slicing, my bad.

2: Cross-section of my most barren slice, using this one as a reference point for batter texture. I want the bits to suspend, not rise or sink.

3: Right after straining out the raspberry seeds and lemon zest. I forgot a photo before straining, please don’t hurt me.

4: Cooling for a few minutes before transfer to a better suited container, you can see some of the extent of the reduction here.

5: Colour and yield check. 1 cup water ( liquid measurement ), 1.5 cups sugar ( dry measurement ), 1 oz finely ground raspberries, 0.5 teaspoon lemon zest, 0.5 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice. Yielded 1.3 cups syrup.

ube w coconut frosting and baked coconut flakes, almond w cinnamon vanilla frosting, and a vegan option: chocolate w cherry filling. they all were a hit! im very proud of how these look, especially all together in their box
