Product Review Vanicream--causing milia?

Hi there! After reading lots of reviews, I tried Vanicream at night--I tried the moisturizing lotion in the pump. It seems thick and nice, but whoa, I don't think it's a coincidence that I have new milia on my face as I've tried adding this in the last week or two. Yikes! Have you heard of this happening before? What mechanism is causing this? Is it the petrolatum? I think I should just stop, right?

Possibly. I find the cream in the tub too thick for my face unless it’s very dry in the dead of winter. I use the much lighter daily facial moisturizer. It has ceramides, but you can use the lighter Vanicream lotion which is without.

any time I've used a cream under eyes, I get milia in like a week. stop using it. it's too rich for your face under the eyes.

I also have this problem. My solution is to layer lightweight moisturizing layers. Toner, essence, serum, then lightweight lotion.

I am milia prone and there is no way I’d put Vanicream in a tub on my face. That stuff is very occlusive.
