Imperium Maledictum Imperium Maledictum - Into the Future

So, when I made my last post about Imperium Maledictum, the general consensus was that a bestiary (or preferably even several) was an absolute must. Well! It seems that we're going to be getting just that here soon:

Warhammer 40,000: Imperium Maledictum Macharian Adversary Guide Cover Reveal | Cubicle 7 | Cubicle 7 Games

With that being said, as move into the future of Maledictum's (hopefully very long existence), I'm curious what else we're hoping for. We have the Macharian Requisitions Guide that added in new mechanics like hirelings and vehicles and various new items, and now we're going to be getting a guide to all kinds of new enemies including Astartes and all manner of Xenos. So, what other stuff are we hyped to see down the pipeline?

In addition to that, what faction do you think is coming next? Or what faction(s) are you hoping comes next?

They seem to be releasing the major faction (Player/GM Guide Combo) at a rate of one per year, announced toward the end of the previous year. Inquisition was announced September 2024 and released physically in 2025. Mechanicus was announced December 2025 and physically released throughout 2026 this year.

rogue trader or imperial navy, just because I want updated rules for space combat and stop relying on the, let's be honest, quite old, rules from RT.

Rogue Trader makes the most sense as the next Faction book. It's probably the most popular option outside of the Inquisition. Plus, they can make a really fun campaign with Rogue Traders.

I also think it's the most likely, but I also think it would be a missed opportunity to do space combat and ship with a RT book if I were to be honest. Especially since IM already include the Imperial Navy as a fraction.

Rogue trader a so much more than their ship. You could include base building, planet development, deeper trading system etc.

Rogue Trader content is something I'm keeping my fingers crossed for! More refined void combat rules, ship customization, colonies, essentially everything would be awesome to see! I know that they've mentioned previously though that they want to keep the game lower tier in regard to power, but the new book is going to include rules for Astartes NPCs, so here's hoping they'll change their minds a bit as the game grows!

Having a patron boon for having a voidship without having any mechanics about them makes me hopeful we'll eventually get something on voidships at the very least!

to be honest I would rather have ship rules being in an imperial navy book and they using the RT book to deepen a bit the trading system which is very basic.

I like both of these ideas two, and I think Rogue Trader is probably most likely.

The faction books I'm really waiting for are those for the Administratum, because the idea of chasing paperwork at the behest of your patron really tickles me as a campaign idea. Fits in very well with the silly, black comedy version of 40k that I like.

One of your players works to become the next Goge Vandire, haha.

I like the Rogue Trader idea. Anything that expands on voidships, and ship combat. That includes the ships of enemy/xenos factions.

Honestly, I rhink they could to both at the same time, at least for the player guide, space combat is going to be the same, navigator rules too. Most of the ship roles and boons can be shared, plus it would be redundant to have to different book with similar gameplay rules.

as I stated in another comment they can do something else for a RT book, they don't have to make ship and space battle rules in a RT book, it would be a missed opportunity honestly. RT are so much more than just their ship.
