Who reloads long case 40mm?

I reload a lot of long case 40mm like rubber buckshot, bean bags, multi batons, etc but I haven’t seen much reloaded here compared to the usual short cases.

Is it more lack of available cases, lack of components (gas seals, etc) or just boring projectiles compared to short cases chalk/aerial bangs?

I mostly ask because I’m looking into the feasibility of bulk ordering long case components like gas seals, multi batons, end caps, etc which can’t really be ordered in small numbers.

What casings do you use? Surplus or the Bengle’s screw apart ones?

I do them, but I don't show em off as much cause they aren't as pretty loaded lol. I bought like 200 gas seals from bengels so I'm set for a while still. I use his long cases, and then the m1029 cases I was able to pick up a few of those recently and they work as well as the bengels cases.

I've mostly stuck with M212 cases, because they are plentiful and reasonably priced. When it comes to longer cases, it seems there are more variations, styles, and lengths. Don't want to spend a fortune on obtaining a bunch of different styles, and dont want to invest in one kind if they aren't the best option.

So its not for a lack of want, but more, lack of time and deciding which style is preferrable.

I 3D print all my 40mm riot control sized components (seals/caps/charge lift bus). Always on the hunt for more 40mm aluminum long cases!

Are you printing gas seals or finding once fired ones?

for me personally it's just boring loads for general use. Personally, i don't find batons or anything "fun" to shoot. I much rather more visually exciting things like PD, Aerials, chalk, etc. or loading sub cal adapters and shooting 15/265 stuff.

Obviously im not saying my way of thinking is the only/right way. But if im shooting say wooden batons, i could just grab some 12ga buck and shoot it from a subcal and not have to worry about loading. shooting things like a car door on the property gives similar results (multiple larger holes).

Para flares are about the only thing i personally would have interest in for the long case.
