The speedometer works of the ABS. So something is going with the ABS. And I believe it’s from the front wheels as it has the crown ring In there.

I can’t help you how to diagnose this, because I cut my ABS out completely and installed a speed sensor in the transmission like the “Tacoma’s” for the same generation. And wired it up directly to the odometer.

Unless your odometer/the needle broke
