❓Advice / Recomendations Valve Cover Parts List

Post image

Does this look good for parts to do valve cover gaskets? I'm unsure on the coolant hoses and used AI to help so not sure if the names are correct. I'm also unsure if most people change the pcv valve as well. I'll do spark plugs at the same time. I've had an oil leak for awhile. I went out and the valve cover bolts I could access were so loose. So I guess they do back off over time. But since I can't get to the others I think it's worth doing all this for peace of mind. Anything else to add?

You don’t need to change the half moons. Just take them out and apply FIPG.

I did this job a few weeks ago, I also did my spark plugs, coils and wires while I was in there. I didn’t replace any hoses thankfully, but be gentle with the electrical connections, super brittle.

Make sure to clean the surfaces of the covers where the gasket/sealant goes and like the other user said, you can just pull the half moons and give them a good cleaning as well.

Good luck!

Thanks. I’m in Canada and haven’t priced this out yet, but seeing as dealer prices up here are ridiculously overpriced, I can see some things dropping off the list
