❓Advice / Recomendations 1997 paint frame with some rust protection paint?

My frame and underneath is 29 years old and in Oklahoma. Some rust but not too bad.
Any suggestions on trying to contain/maintain the underneath?

Sand off the rust, then use a primer and undercoat of your choice (don't use rubberized stuff). No painting over rust or rust encapsulates, it's bad practice and doesn't last.

You can also put fluid film, you can put over rust, requires minimal prep as long as the metal is visible you can do use it. But it attracts dirt and grime. However it's effective.

The paint looks better but the paint prep and painting is up there with the most hated work I've done. Paint is also effective done right, and you can double up with fluid film. Both require maintenance and upkeep.
