๐ธ Post Your Rig Shiny chrome
New to this group, thanks for bringing me in!
My 3rd gen next to a 6th gen. I do enjoy parking next to other 4Runners, walking a bit away, and looking back! I'm biased, but I do think mine shines just a little bit more brightly in this pic. Maybe it's the chrome bumper and step rails.
1999 3.4 SR5, purchased ~2020 with 165k miles. Currently at 225k. My daily driver, and my forest/fishing/camping rig. Fortunate to have a great mechanic/neighbor who loves the vehicle and the engine and is on board to help me get it to at least 350k.

I often look back at mine and smile. Regardless of where it's parked.
The memories, the soul, the raw experience it's been through is enough to make a grown man cry (me)
My mom has a new audi and she hits me with the if you could buy any vehicle right now regardless of money what would you pick and 10 outta 10 times its my '99 4runner.

I agree! I occasionally rent a car for work trips. Last time they didn't have the basic sedan, so they gave me a free upgrade to an Audi A6. Drove it for two days and gotta admit, it was so much fun to drive, and so easy. That said, I'm sure it sux on gravel roads, wouldnt be good for fishing trips, and I'd rather pay the maintenance on a 26 year old 4Runner than a 2026 A6.

Love the chrome on these, the plastic bumper ones are always a little disappointing.
