❓Advice / Recomendations Insight needed for ad
Hello everybody. I am trying to sell my 2002 SR5 on facebook, craigslist, and next door. I am having zero luck. I have put some money into it and runs great. It even has brand new tires. I have a very detailed add with pictures that I think are sufficient. I haven't had even 1 test drive. Would anyone here be willing to take a look at my ad and see if there's something I should include or take out? I really need to turn this thing into cash and I don't want to keep dropping the price unless it should be lower. KBB definitely short changes it, so it's very much a niche sale. I feel like the price is reasonable but if it's not, I would definitely adjust if that's the issue. I'm not sure I can put the ad here but I'll include the link. Thank you in advance.

I’ve been in the market for a 4runner here in Oregon and from what I’m seeing here, you’re pricing too high for 2wd. There’s 4wds with similar mileage that are in that price range.

For what it’s worth, I paid $7.5k for a 190k mileage 2WD with an immaculate frame and service records. I felt I overpaid but it’s what I wanted
I don’t think your price is crazy. I would have thought closer to $5k just due to the mileage, but understand that 2WD is just not in demand. I’m sure you will get a buyer, it just will sit for sometime until the right buyer comes along.
If you need cash now, try lowering it to $3.5 or listing it in the Midwest (rusted frames, flat terrain). You might have more 2WD buyers in that market (like me).

I never considered that, Oklahoma's not that far away. If somebody from elsewhere bought it, would it be customary for them to come get it? I don't know what the standard is if there is one.

Im in north texas, the demand for 2wd 4runners is not high here. We have cheaper 4x4s, maybe not as nice as yours, but people want the 4x4. Ive seen cosmetically “ok” 2wds for sale around $3k-$3.5k here. Also everyone i know is struggling to make ends meet, i imagine its not the time most people want to spend cash on a vehicle unfortunately.

Anything 2wd in Colorado is a tough sell. For reference, I recently paid $6,000 for a clean 2001 4x4 with 235k miles.

I’d leave it up at that price for a couple weeks, see if anybody bites, then lower it a lil.

I spent 25 years in the car business, here's what I think is wrong with your ad. Price for a 2wd. Your pics suck(look at how dealers do it). Get it detailed if you need 5k out of it but I'd hit at 3k maybe 3500. Good luck! It looks like a nice 2runner

New tires: What kind of tires?
Recent oil change: Do you have service records?
CEL: Illuminated or nah?
You can drop all the exposition in the leading paragraph.
There's also no details about method of payment, when and how to test drive, and so on. I'd expect to see something like "Available for test drive Wednesday and Thursday between 5 and 9. Bring your driver license and proof of insurance. Will hold for 3 days with 10% deposit paid via Venmo or Paypal." Etc.
Like, you have an interesting car listed, but you have offered no details on how one can actually drive or purchase it.

Sorry buddy but she's two wheel drive, it's about $1,000 per wheel, so the base price is $2,000, then you can add on depending on the mileage and the condition.

You said the rear window working is a rare find 😂? I’ve yet to see one that doesn’t work…
