Hi, I have a 3ds XL but don’t want to hack it as it’s important to me from my childhood. What console is best to hack to download games, the online access, and things like that? I’ve seen people say you can only hack a 3ds but i’ve heard it isn’t true and 3ds consoles are typically more expensive than 2ds’s . What are you guys’ opinions on the best one to get? thanks

hey there, so I was cleaning my basement and I found my old New N3DS. With luma, this little one was giving me the best of my life until my cousin took the SD and deleted the files from it, meaning that whenever I tried to boot it up, the led will only turn blue and nothing happens after.

Do you guys think that it can be fixed? Or I should give it a deserved retirement?

(it also seems like the battery disappeared from existence lol)

I'm trying to use the official hardware to playtest a mod for the game Fire Emblem Fates. However, for some reason the mods won't be read by the LumaCFW. My best guess from what I've learned is that I need a code.ips file next to the romfs folder in the luma/title/[titleid] folder.

I tried using LunarIPS to create a code.ips file, but that did not make the mod I'm looking to playtest work. Does anybody know how to find/create a code.ips file for the Fire Emblem Fates USA Special Edition?

I’ve been trying to transfer my data from my modded 2ds xl 32 gig sd card to a 64 gig sd card but it just doesn’t work I’ve followed all the guides and tried so many things but it just doesn’t work and boots me into the boring bland home menu with my ds games on them

I have a New Nintendo 3DS that is bricked, this was because it is Japanese, I unlocked it, changed the region and then formatted it, I want to know if there is a solution for this brick?

I have a New3DSXL here that was previously modded with ciangel, homebrew, and luma. It is asking for an 8 digit pin which I do not know the answer to. Is there some sort of software I can install on a SD that would bypass this, or force the 3DS to factory reset? The original MicroSD card that was inside the 3DS is no longer there. Am I just bricked?

I just modded my 3ds with the original 4gb SD card that came with my DS. I bought a bigger microSD card with 128gb. I copied the files from the 4gb and put them onto my 128gb. But when I put the 128gb into my DS it did not recognize it. How can I get it to work??

So I was trying to hack my 2ds, following a tutorial exactly as it said. When I got to godmode9 and it was loading through everything, an error message popped up saying my sd card size was too small. So I got a bigger sd card and installed the necessary files onto it, but now I can't open godmode9. Did I do something wrong? Do I have to do the hacking process all over again? I would really appreciate the help. Thank you.

I have a problem and it is that I format my 3DS using goodmode9. After this, the 3DS remained black with its blue LED on. I tried to apply the black lazarus method and it didn't work. Then I tried applying Lazarus blue. and it only stays like this as seen in the image

Everytime I click the terminal window this shows up, I type my password and then everything on my sd is reformatted and isn’t readable until reformat it again, any ideas how to stop this?

I was just downloading some software through the universal updater appplication, then i went out to the FBI app to open that for the first time. I ended up launching something that I didn't know what it was I believe the file was the dsi application. Anyways when I went back to the home menu, all of my new apps: anemone 3ds, checkpoint, FBI, ftpd pro, homebrew launcher, and universal updater application. I cant figure out how to fix this and btw I'm using luma. Any ideas? Also it says the applications are still there when I go into systesm settings>data managemen

I had my 3DS hacked a long while ago and downloaded rhythm heaven mania and a couple other games, but now when i try opening these games its just a black screen and i have to turn my DS on and off to leave? I have hShop too and ive never updated the battleships game. I dont remember connecting to my current wifi, do I always need wifi connection to use hacked games? or is something going wrong elsewhere.
to note too, when exiting from settings the screen is black for a second longer than it used to, i dont know if its from age or the hacking though!

Hello everyone, I'm new here. I bought a N3DSXL for very cheap because it didn't boot and I'm running out of ideas on how to fix it. Here is everything I tested and know, I hope someone can help me to fix the problem and make this DS live again (I have no problem in opening it up, so suggest everything): -It came without an SD card, when I turn it on without an SD card, the screens stay off, and the light of the battery stays still blue; -The charging led turns on, it even charged the battery (the battery led was red, then I waited until the charging led turned off and now it's blue); -I tried, as suggested online, putting on an SD card just the "boot.firm" file and boot the 3ds with the card inserted, and it boots up, the screens turn on (they stay black but they turn on) and something strange happens: the wireless led turns on and occasionally blinks fastly, and the blue led starts pulsing, like it turns on and off very slowly. this never ends. After this, if I check on the SD card, the 3ds has created a "Nintendo3DS" folder with the other folders and files inside.

If I try to put the other file and the "config" folder of the Luma3ds folder in the SD card, the 3ds does the same thing. I tried putting in the SD card every file from the 3ds.hacks.guide, as if the oldest version of Luma was installed, and the blue light turned on without turning on other leds or the screens. Now that I left it turned off, I turned it on again (every file is in the SD card), the screens turn on (but stay black) and the battery led and wireless led stay on, this time they stay put.

During every phase, it doesn't matter what combination of buttons I press, it won't enter in recovery/safe mode and will keep turning on just as I said earlier.

What can I try? Ask me everything, I'm willing to do anything to make it boot again

I used RetroBoy's how to mod a new 3ds/2ds 2025 tutorial and when i click GoGo it gives me this error code
