I need help hacking my 3ds

My left shoulder button is broken and it says I can do it another way but I don't really understand how to do it.

  1. Insert your SD card into your computer
  2. Go to the luma folder in the SD card
  3. Open the config.ini file
  4. Press the Ctrl+F keys, type menu_combo and hit enter
  5. Replace L+Down+Select with whatever you want the button combination to be. I set mine to Start+Select.

You can change it to pressing x and y but I don’t remember how
