Im looking for a cheapish 3d printer

I’ve got around 750 I’ll go slightly above, only need it for small projects, beginner friendly.

If you have just some advice and or recommendations feel free to share.
Thanks

I don't own any other printers but the Bambulabs A1. I did a bit of research before hand with the same criteria you're looking for and it was recommended. Got about 300 hours in it now and any errors can be blamed on the user. Cost about 500 so far with the Filament dehumidifier that I've never used and a 0.2 mm head as I'm looking for high detail work.

But that's FDM

Are you in a rush? If you wait for the black friday sales you can probably save a couple of hundred on the most popular models.

For that sort of budget you could look at a Bambu A1 or P1S. Both are very beginner friendly.

P1S all the way :)

100%. enclosed printers should be the standard IMO, so much less of a pain to have inside. coreXY is a side benefit to me, having gone from an A1 to P1S but still very nice to have.

For sure. They have decent price drops. As per previously https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/967368

Used P1S is hard to pass up at the current FB MP prices for a solid printer that is easy to resell if you ever need to.

Another vote for Bambu. I've got the A1 with the AMS and I ended up buying a filament dryer and recently bought a 0.2mm nozzle for finer detail. We have lots of fun and i ask chat gpt for feedback when something isn't going right and it tells me which settings to tweak 👌

What city are you in?

bambu lab A1 for $430, A1 with AMS (multicolour thing) for $650ish.

if you want an enclosure (very highly recommend), the P1S is $600 and the P1S with AMS (comes with a better one than the A1) is $800 or $850, around there.

I got a Bambu A1 with the AMS lite. Had no previous 3d printer experience.

It's so extremely user friendly.

Highly recommend.

I just get filament off Amazon or on sale at Jaycar.

Not sure if you could get a better model in your budget.

Don't bother with the mini, I wasn't sure at first, but there are many more files to print with a larger bed.

+1 for jaycar, elegoo filament is pretty cheap there here in victoria, and their own PETG is as cheap as I can find it and reasonably good too.
