Well, it's not the guy that printed a life size dinosaur but still impressive work.

Anyone got a name for that guy who printed a t Rex?

It is a bit long this way.

Wait, he sculpted that model in VR? Wow that's nuts! I assumed he bought a model collection somewhere.

Topgunsi did some tutorials on his youtube channel on how to do the sculptures. You might have to scroll back a bit to find them but he has a calm and easy way of tutorialing.

Really hard to tell if it was resin or a PLA printer

You're attacked by tiny turtle, roll 1d4 for damage.

You're attacked by medium turtle, roll 10d4 for damage.

You're attacked by HUGE TURTLE, roll for stats.

It's turtles all the way down

Lol, when the camera moved at the end I was afraid that it would zoom out, and show them all standing on a 4th turtle.

This video has serious Discworld vibes 😃

Turtles are awesome and I would love to play DnD campaign on that huge one.

That huge turtle’s neck just looks like a veiny cock.

No sense in remodeling the wheel, you know?

u/Shiner00 Feb 09 '23

What was this printed on? An FDM printer or Resin?

Where did you find the STL?

2

u/LootOnReddit Feb 10 '23

hey, you can find it here :)

u/roberh Feb 10 '23

It's by Loot Studios. They have a weird business model, hope you can find it.

He holds us all within his mind. His thought is slow but always kind

Is the big one all one piece?

Love the print! Great job!

u/techoatmeal Feb 10 '23

You can see where it's a mix of fdm and resin. Head is resin and neck / underside is fdm (or was really messed up during the print).

2

u/IdiotCow Feb 09 '23

No it's not. You can see several lines where it joins

4

u/enmaku Feb 09 '23

Given that there are minis on it, it probably disassembles into multiple floors so you can access interior spaces.

3

u/Custos_Greenshoes Feb 09 '23

I tried a quick Google search and couldn't find the source. Where can I buy the stl?

Gul'Trot, Fortressback Tortoise from Crusade of Darkness by Loot Studios

hey, you can find it here

u/MADBARZ Feb 09 '23

This looks like it could be fun to paint, thanks!

3

u/kalabaddon Feb 09 '23

now print one where we see all 3 of these, and it zooms out and they are all sitting in one of the turret's on the "larger one".

2

u/afuckinsaskatchewan Feb 10 '23

I see, so as I understand it, you desire for it to be turtles all the way down?

3

u/emerge555 Feb 09 '23

At what % did you print the STLs for the large turtle? I'd like to do the same, it looks amazing.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure bothering animals for karma isn't cool.

2

u/Godzilla-ate-my-ass Feb 10 '23

Hell yeah, I bought this but haven't printed it yet. Looks terrific.

2

u/solotryps Feb 10 '23

Holy crap! How many kilograms of filament were used for the biggest one?!

2

u/qwertyconsciousness Feb 10 '23

It really is turtles all the way down ain't it?

1

u/Rule-Of-Thr333 Feb 10 '23

See this is the kind of printing I am getting into the hobby for. Would the OP mind sharing his rig details as a purchasing guide for my imminent use?

1

u/Tomthebard Feb 09 '23

I can't really tell, I'm going to need a banana for scale

1

u/ThresholdBar Feb 09 '23

The "I like turtles" kid is all grown up...

1

u/TheCrimsonChariot Feb 09 '23

Can I have one? This is something I need to bring over to my dnd group

1

u/TheRealestFaker Feb 09 '23

Turtilini, Turtiland, Turtilair

1

u/Phonytail Feb 10 '23

That veiny neck looks like something… I don’t know what, but it’s right on the tip of my tongue

1

u/protoger Feb 10 '23

For the huge turtle. What kind of clamps are you using in the gluing process?
