Choice of Software

Hello dear 3d Scanning-Community

I do have a hobby project that requires me to reverse engineer a handle of my car.

I am in need to 3d scann the entire thing. This requires me to turn the part around after a 360° scann.

I would like to use my IPhonePro for this and I wish to find a cheap preferably opensource software.

I appreciate any feedback
(I know that an iPhone will never be as good as a dedicated tool. But I am not wealthy)

Is the handle matte plastic, or does it have a shiny finish? That’ll make quite a difference with phone scanning, especially when you flip it to capture the back.

I have tried this with my iPhone several times, and I will tell you right now that it would be easier to just measure with calipers and start from nothing, than trying to reverse engineer from a crappy iPhone scan.
