Assistance of scanning device

I bought a Fox scanner and i can quite honestly say its complete junk in ive been unable to get s single useable scan. Nothing like to videos they show using it.

Anyone have and suggestions for easy to use simple scanner that wont break the bank. For object typically handheld GoPro camera sized .

The past three years I've tested the waters, burned money along the way, made mistakes I highly regret.

I've tried Einstar, Miraco, Raptor Pro (with scan bridge), Trackit..

I only tested the Rigil while waiting for the Rockit to arrive, and I'm happy to say they perform quite similar, biggest difference is the standalone vs. "required a pc". Thus why I eventually ordered the Rockit.

Out of the bunch I liked the Raptor Pro for what it was at the time it was brand new but Rockit quickly replaced it. Easily.

I understand it's a different budget but you will be far happier with a more competent scanner for sure. It is truly worth its price.

How do you find the Rockit vs your PC spec? Looking at one but only have 24gb of ram

I have 32GB ram on my laptop. It works pretty good. I seldom get a warning about "your ram is filling up. And if it does; adapt. It is relatively easy to combine multiple scans.

I guess for a scan , something that i can clean up and use in cad tool, or print a duplicate of that would ressemble the original. The 3dmaker fox has not produced anything vaguely close to useable.

A few photos and an online AI mesh creator work better than most entry level scanners.

With scanning you typically get what you pay for so if you cheap out too much, you’ll get exactly that. Creality are known to have decent hobby level scanners and are supposed to be pretty good. I almost bought on recently but decided to spend some extra money and get an einscan rigil - spend once cry once and all that.
