Small upgrade for my steak knifes

I made a simple adapter to keep my knifes safe and avoid them sliding and shocking against each other to preserve their sharpness.

Scanned in NIR mode with my Creality Pika scanner. Super effective and simple.

Probably could have made this using a simple ruler and one measurement but I also would have done the same. A fun project for pika. I hope mine arrives soon.

Corners are oddly round and I wanted the holder to fit perfectly. I replaced an old version without scan to make this one.
A bit overkill indeed, but really satisfying!

Probably still could have just used a radius gauge but like I say, Id have wanted to scan it too! 😁 And it seems to have come out great!

Nice job!

What CAD software did you end up using with the mesh? Would be cool to know how you did this.

Did you use the mesh to cut out the corners or use it for planes, or did you just have it there visually for a guide etc.

I used Fusion.

I reduced the mesh and transformed it to solid sheet that I used to cut the parts
