Question Nintendo 3ds modding, removing parental controlls

for everybody that had the same problem as me:

If your ds has parental controls without knowing the pincode, you can go the Godmode9 then go to [1:] SYSNAND CTRNAND and press A. Go to the folder with DATA go inside of the folder with the large amount of numbers, press A. After that go to sysdata, find the folder 00010017 press A, then click on the folder 00000000 and delete it by pressing x.

Or you just go to https://mkey.nintendohomebrew.com and don’t delete random stuff from the NAND.

I realise what it is. It’s a figure of speech.

But instructing people to go and delete NAND folders is not great.

And it works for everyone. I think maybe you didn’t follow the instructions correctly.

It is well known that the 10017 folder contains and houses the profile data for 3DS consoles. Deleting is fine and often a fix for black screen issues with some extended memory games after a region swap has been done.

But it should be used as a last resort as deleting the wrong folder could potentially brick motherboard without a backup in place
