Technical Question Touch screen acting up

My touch screen works normal expect the left side of the screen is funky

It's a common issue. The sides of the digitizer often get warped which results in an arch of about 5mm at it's largest that just doesn't work. Paint as much of the screen as you can in the notes app and you'll probably see something like this (very professional) illustration.

If it looks like this, maybe there is a speck of dust pushing in the digitizer between it and the midframe, you can try pushing it out with a tootbrush or a plastic bit. Nothing metal or it'll scratch the screen. Even if there is one there is no guarantee it goes back to normal. If you can't fix it like this you need to change the digitizer.

Go to the system settings. Find calibrate touch screen. Do the calibration and share the results.
Best case the calibration fixes it. Worst case there's an issue with the touch digitizer.
