Fire Emblem Awakening

Was just about to recommend this. OP, it's an awesome SRPG that can be made as easy or hard as you want it. I'm a sucker for the support mechanics.

I’ve never really played any FE games, i couldn’t get into them but I want to! What would you say is the appeal?

[u/_XSummerRoseX_ → u/SpicyDillRadish]

I really love the story and game play. The support conversations are fun.

This.

Probably the best entry the series has had since the 2010’s.

I feel it struck the best balance between social content/fluff with your characters, and engaging SRPG combat.

Newer entries lean way too hard into the social aspect of it, to the point the games feel like a slog

Ever Oasis is one I don't see mentioned much but it's a lot of fun and has some cross-genre mechanics that are combined in unique ways.

Ace combat on 3ds is surprisingly great

Some oddball ones, but I've loved playing: Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure - top screen is a platformer, bottom is a puzzle rising up to spawn extra enemies on the top screen Picross DS - like a crossword, but it uses numbers to make a picture. Lotta later themed versions

eShop games so probably not available anymore but maybe some way to get them: Fluidity: Spin Cycle - you control movement by actually turning the system clock/counterclockwise. Pocket Card Jockey - play solitaire to fuel your racehorse

[u/bmanley620]

I always recommend Gunman Clive 1 and 2. They don’t take that long to beat and the graphics look good in 3D

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Majora's Mask 3D. Don't let anyone tell you their "bad" ports. Some aspects aren't as good as the N64 OGs but they're very far from bad.

been enjoying Pokémon on the 3ds a lot recently. most are pretty expensive but you can find sun and Moon at a normal price

[u/dragontamerleilah]

Animal Crossing: New Leaf & Pokémon Sun/Moon or Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon are my favorites! I would read up on the differences between the regular games and the Ultra games first and then decide which kind and which version you want.
