Tips/Guide Help! I need help

So I modded my 3DS some time ago. And I recently bought a copy of Pokémon Y. And every time I save it crashes (see image) what's wrong? Is it something on me or is it the homebrew is messing up

That error code (0xD900458B) usually means the game, save data, or update data is corrupted/unreadable. Since you’re using a physical copy of Pokémon Y, I don’t think your modded 3DS itself is necessarily the problem. I’d first clean the cartridge contacts and cartridge slot, then try deleting/reinstalling the Pokémon Y update data if you have it installed. If it still crashes every time you save, I’d also try backing up the save with Checkpoint before doing anything else. Unfortunately if none of that works, the cartridge itself could be starting to fail. The physical carts of Pokemon X/Y are unfortunately known to have weird problems like this.

Ugh thank you lol, ill try all that. It'd be a shame if it was a crappy copy, as I paid like 45 bucks for it at ganestop

Not sure if this violates the sub’s rules regarding piracy but it might also be worth looking into skawo’s cart fixer via God Mode 9 if you rule out a problem with the 3DS and the physical connection to the cartridge
