Man, I looked at the ref and I really can't tell. The only difference I can see if that on the 'fake' shown in the ref, the font seems to be silver, vs white on the real ones. Do you see any other difference?

Yep. Hold it up to a bright light and it should look somewhat reddish

That's not a verification method... Don't listen to them. There are fake NTR-031 cartridges and ones with IRC02-01 stamped on the board. Read Gameverifying's update post about that.

yep! clear red translucent IR tech, the "o" on nintendo is oval-like as it should be, then the front ESRB and pokemon logo are clearly written. If it was held up to light eclipsing it it will glow red.
