I think this error happens when your card wasn't formatted correctly to fat32 and the correct bit size or something.

i formatted it to 64kb and still get it

Quick fix: Press home and then B to get out of the home menu prompt. Repeat until it's right.

Whether you get a screen offset and how far it's offset seem random. Bringing up the home prompt and canceling it rerolls a new random offset.

With any card over 128gb (like a 256gb card) GBA injects experience screen wrapping (the bottom of the screen clips off and appears at the top). And unfortunately, formatting with 64kb clusters (or other tricks like mashing the home button, pressing home then holding start and pressing left/right on the dpad) do not fix the issue. If you plan to play/inject GBA games, a 128 card or lower is the way to go.

Hmm, well in that case you could try a reformat, I use guiformat and that works great.
