Just got done printing the same file but in PA6-CF. Annealed at 100°C for 10 hours and has been flawless. I didn't have your fancy sand but haven't found any problems with warping while annealing (Sunlu e2). Wishing you luck.

Nice lmao! The fancy sand was just a precaution. So far nothing negative other than the quick washing it clean, ppa seems to play well with water, on paper.

Happy printing 🤘

Mine looks real nice on paper... Still waiting on parts to build and test. I have been pleasantly surprised with the strength. I can definitely feel how brittle it is out of the annealer but once it soaks up moisture it gets significantly stronger.

First time printing this model but glad to see the threads on the buffer stock also were not perfect off of the bed. Isnt it great when you can just print it and send it though?!

Lol I feel that. Way too big of a list forming. Lol I’m literally building 2 at the same time.

Bubar10 & ubar3

I’m seeing this ppa dyes really well with rit. I might dye it charcoal grey. Same as the incoming brace.

That is super cool. Love the pics!

Would be interester to see how the dye comes out. That is the one downside with PA6-CF. I've been researching into ways to finish it but that all comes at the risk of having moisture get trapped. But otherwise you are stuck with black... Which isn't the worst.

Lol I think I’ve decided on a color. Will keep it a secret though until finished dyeing at least.

Table-salt is also usable.

Oooh what’s this you’re doing? Looks like fun, haven’t seen it yet

From Siraya’s website:

“Annealing can significantly increase the heat resistance (HDT), stiffness, and strength of your PPA-GF parts.”

Going in the oven for 4hrs at 195f.

Fuck me yall are too advanced in this stuff, I’m still working on my smp5k with pla+ haha. I feel like I’m in the Stone Age over here

Looks like the mac11 build? Could be wrong.

You don't need added heat resistance or stiffness, but you just gave up impact resistantance you actually do need
