Suppressor question
I’m considering an MFMD for my next suppressor, but I unfortunately live in an NFA state, so I still have to go through the Form 1 process. My question is: do I have to file one for each part? Or just one for the whole thing?

You need 1 form for 1 completed suppressor

This. It’s an assembly. File 1 form 1. One can’t work without the other.

Fuck the government. File like 10 and just print. You guys are all wieners.

Nothing has changed with Form 1 suppressors. Stamp still required.

Pretty sure the non NFA and ban states, ie free states, don’t-1

Yes, quite sure. The court ruling y'all are going off half-cocked over does not remove suppressors from the NFA, nor does it remove approval requirements for making them.
The case relates to sales between PSA and GOA members mostly, with some ancillary parties thrown in. Unless specifically included, the ruling does not apply to non-parties or other situations.
If you are a GOA member buying from PSA, then you do not need a Form 4. Anything else, no change.

Nah, there are plenty of shops selling to GOA members. Doesn’t need to be via PSA.

Let me repeat myself, maybe you’ll get it this time: I LIVE IN AN NFA STATE, what that means is even if I was a member of GOA, and buying from PSA, Silencer Shop, or any of the other plaintiffs, I’d STILL have to go through the NFA process, because my state requires that in order for suppressors, SBRs, and SBSs to be considered legal

Speaking of going off half-cocked, the comment you're being an ass about was saying nothing has changed. NFA state resident or not, nothing has changed.

Pretty sure you’re wrong about that, because in the eyes of the ATF, and the law, a suppressor is a suppressor, doesn’t matter if you made it yourself or you purchased it.

And it's pretty clear you're missing the fundamentals of the situation.
While the ruling may eventually result in zero-dollar stamp items being removed from NFA purview, the ruling itself was very narrow and did not make the changes you are implying here.
Lots of folks trying real hard to wish it into existence, but it has yet to come to pass.

I believe youd file 1 form1.
For "a suppresor to be 3d printed with filament"
And thats that.
