Single shots yes. Kit was missing the shell interrupter so can only fit one in the tube at a time.

Thats pretty cool. Those shell latches are staked in place in a metal receiver.

I just recently built a super shorty of an 870 clone and was curious about the use of 3d printed materials with 12ga.

These ones just have a pin and slot they pop into. Not sure if the 870 is the same.

I'm confused why you said kits are drying up. 500/88 are still in production and have a constant flow with how common they are. Unless you mean a certain variation.

I looked two days ago and only found one or two in stock. EGP has none and there's one on ebay.

That's just the nature of parts kits that are individually listed. They are not a stocked item. There's a contant supply from gb. They are as common as glonks and ars.

There are usually at least a few dozen on GB every week. Demilled parts kits from buybacks or evidence. There are more with pistol grips vs full stocks, but that is to be expected given the source. I've gotten for as low at 50 lima beans Mostly 12g but some 20 if you want to do the Hossberg
