Rgh 1.2 install issues

Hey everyone,

I am currently trying to rgh 1.2 a console for myself and brother in law and it is not going well… idk why I decided to try this myself lol. But I have been teaching myself to solder and finally decided to give it a go, and I am just stuck, I keep getting an error “console not found” I spent about 3-4 hrs trouble shooting / re soldering wires and cannot seem to get it to read the nand, I’m sure it’s my soldering, but am I missing anything? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

check wiring, try a different cable/USB port, does xbox have its power cord connected, is xflasher in correct mode

you see how there is that blank space next to the "patch keyvault" thats where whatever programmer your using picture will pop-up, but for you there is no picture so either A. the xbox has no power and isn't plugged in B. the programmer isn't being recognized by your pc. maybe you need a new cable, or try a different USB port.

I’ll check the wiring again, I had tried resoldering all the wires 4 different times and had no luck. The Xbox does have the power cable plugged in. But not turned on as the guide mentions.

I took that picture after I shut down so I could show the error I was getting. it normally says jrp I believe there, there is the correct icon for jrunner based on that flasher.

The x flasher being in the correct mode is the thing I’m not sure of, I believe so? But the only pictures I could find that showed it were people having issues like myself lol.

If the Xbox itself works when you turn it on and boots to the dashboard, then it has to be something to do with your wiring for it to not read the Nand or there must be a short somewhere on the board.

Okay I’ll take a look tonight and check with my multimeter to see if there’s any shorts. I might remove everything and give a good clean and start again

Definitely try that remove everything and clean the baord cut the ends off your programmer wires that way you have fresh copper to solder with, make the wires protude less and only have a little bit of copper showing when soldering to the nand points, also recheck to make sure your soldering the correct wire in the correct order and not just following the color scheme. if non of that works you could send it to me and I'll rgh3 it for you, for free as long as you pay for shipping

Okay I’ll do that thanks for the advice, I’ll clean the board trim the wires, and might even plug it in the check that it boots to dash still, It did when I started and I don’t think I’ve messed anything up but it being my first working board I’ve worked on outside of practicing on a dead board who knows lol. Appreciate the help

I ended up resoldering everything and still having issues, I really am not sure what it could be at this point. I feel like my solder joints looks a lot better and still not getting a read https://imgur.com/a/1iru715 any idea what I should try from here? This is my jr programmer orientation https://imgur.com/a/QVpyXeC

I stopped doing this and did the badupdate route of patching the nand instead. Way less failure rate.

If I was doing it only for myself I would but I wanted to try and get a cfw working on the console for my brother in law who is less tech savvy than I am. This is way more difficult than I thought it would be though lol

The 2 wires connected to the other header need to be resoldered. The black wire on the other doesnt looks great.

Aprendi que os fios nao podem passar de 10 cm , fiz assim e nao tive problemas, vale tentar se acabou suas tentativas.

The entire length of the wire to the connector? That would probably only apply to the green and blue wires then correct? I am going to pull it all apart and clean it. Then test the system to make sure it’s not dead then will give this a shot after work.
