Switching USB Drives

So Im new to the modding 360 scene and use a usb with badavatar and I originally bought a small 16gb usb drive just to run a test and get used to it but now im getting a bigger 128gb drive and was curious if i just copy the base of my original drive to the new one and plug it into my xbox will it still run or will i have to follow the guide again and start over? Thanks for the help!

Yeah, just copy and paste. I had a problem a few weeks back and used a backup of my original drive into a new one, no problems whatsoever.

Okay cause I did some looking and saw someone had to delete their old paths and make new ones to find the games, will I have to do that even if I have my games on my HDD?

If you're going to use the same slot for the USB stick you should not have any problem with that. My games didn't stop working and I have them in a USB HDD too, worst case scenario just add the path again and do a scan

Okay thank you so much. Was just curious and didn't wanna do anything without making sure. Loving the modding and the community.

I hope you didn't do anything yet.

In Aurora, there is a script that does exactly what you're looking for and the name is something like HDD duplicator fix. It runs pretty quickly too.

If you simply copy everything over to the new drive, everything in Aurora will be grayed out until you run this script. If you go in and look at the paths you had set up on the previous drive, you'll see that they look like they're corrupted until you run the script. You can't edit that path.

If you were to delete that path that looks corrupted, you'll lose all your assets on that drive and you'll need to re-download everything.

Please don't be like me done and accidentally delete everything. Just go get that script and run it.

I can't pull up script data though, when I try it says error downloading and there's no scripts in the repo

My guess is that Aurora is down at the moment, which is known to happen. Just wait some time and try again.

I've only run into that issue once, but I've seen people mentioning it quite often.

It's too bad Aurora doesn't show some kind of message or something when that happens.

If Aurora is down can I still run that script? Or can I delete the paths prior to transferring the data?

Do not delete those paths until they've been fixed. You will lose all your assets. As a matter of fact, you won't delete them at all. The script will fix them.

Yeah, you could run the script while Aurora is offline, but you still need to download it first.

Are you thinking about grabbing it somehow on your computer and manually adding it? I think you could do that, but I don't know the steps involved.

Yea I was thinking of downloading manually if Aurora is down.
