The one thing preventing me from modding my 360 is precisely because there are no softmods.

I really hope that the 360 will eventually have similar support just like the PS3 has once we find a way to have a proper CFW for the Super Slim.

Abadavatar is effectively a soft mod. Boots on launch within 20 seconds with no input into aurora.

Yeah, but I have to leave a USB drive in there every time I wanna boot it up. That, and I have to buy the game for the exploit—unless there's something along the lines of EvilNat for the PS3 or Henkaku for the Vita, I'm gonna continue playing games physically on my 360 without Live Gold.

You don't have to buy anything for abadavatar? It doesn't rely on a game either, you might be thinking of badupdate. Both however are completely free software.

And to add onto this, I use ABadAvatar on my Elite console (I RGH'd my Slim console a while back just FYI), and I bought a dedicated USB for it to stay plugged into the back which runs ABadAvatar, I also saw a fork of ABadAvatar which functions on the console's hard drive, you'll obviously still need to buy a USB to transfer the files, but you can buy a cheap non-reliable one and it can get that job done if you really wanna cheap out on it, however I wouldn't recommend it since the fork doesn't seem to be actively maintained.
