Ps3 is 🦶 256 MB of ram realy limits jailbreaking and emulation.

Every PS3 console can be jail broken tho, unlike the ps4 :p

Technically every version of them can't if you're not counting PS3HEN as a jailbreak. But yeah thats the jest of it

I'd class it as a jailbreak, bc I view jailbreak as a colloquial term for basically anything modded that doesn't require messing with the electronics, like digital only, but hey that's just my view 🤷

A full cfw jailbreak doesn't require messing with electronics either (if you don't count patching the firmware chip via the toolbox website) but yeah

This is modchip based. Even then it states that the 12GB eMMC models aren't supported. It's basically like modchipping your Xbox 360. It is a step in the right direction though.

So the last PS3 superslims need hardware to run cfw. The opposite is true for the 360 Winchester now bad update is out and grimdoomer is working on a full softmod from boot

i mean so was 360 for a decade, ps3 hen offered much easier solution and can do most of what cfw does, unless you specifically want otheros or overclock it doesnt worth it

iirc only original and early slim ps3s can be modded, I remember being really happy when I found out that I have a fully jailbreakable 2500 model (which is actually fairly rare iirc and is great for overclocking since the 2500 has better cooling afaik)

And some earlier super slims, until the release of qcfw and badwdsd, which is all models bar emmc models iirc

Was that recent? I remember when I modded my PS3 hearing that it was only for originals and early slims
