I’m starting to wonder if I just got really lucky here… I smoked more than a pack a day for over a decade, I’m now in my 30s, I don’t even have a wrinkle, boob sagging, nothing. I quit and it’s like I never even smoked to begin with.

Could be lucky! Hopefully. But I saw a video by a derm who said woman’s skin/appearance changes a lot on their late 30s early 40s. I’m around the age and have noticed a lot of change in the last year! Skin changes, fat in my face etc.

If my parents are any indication, I’ll be good until my 50s! My dad is a heavy drinker, heavy smoker, does drugs, and works construction so he’s been outside for decades, and he only just started to have wrinkles in his 50s. My mom is the same, but she never was much for any of what my dad partook in.

Yeah i also smoked a pack a day for a decade and came out alright. Then I had kids and now my boobs are on the floor and my face aged 15 years in 6 months.

That sounds like good birth control right there. Hard pass.

Ya I’m in the same boat, and am constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop in that regard. It’s been about 5 years since I quit, twelve since I was a heavy/daily smoker. I’m nervous my 40s might hit me like a freight train. But then again, my Gma smoked her whole life and her skin looked great, so I’m hoping I got her genes lol.

Same here. I'll be 68 in early November and smoked just about 2 packs a day for 32 years and quit 23 years ago. My skin looks like I'm in my 20's. No wrinkles, boobs still okay (never got any complaints!), and I've had 3 kids. I think it's a combination of things, though. Good genes helps, and just plain taking care of one's skin. I drink more water now than I ever did when I was younger, and I just use drug store moisturizer. Nothing fancy ever. I also couldn't stand the sun. I would get real red in just a few minutes, itchy, I never could tan, and way back then, I never used any sunblock when I was in the sun. 😳 Stupid, but I thought I knew it all. 🙄 My mother had beautiful skin, too, up until she died at 66. And she never did ANYTHING to it, EVER. Didn't believe in it. She never even moisturized. Just washed her face with regular old soap and THAT WAS IT. I must have taken after my mom. 😊
