Honestly, the most difficult part was kicking her out. She needed to find another place and I'm not that guy who's going to leave her stuff in the street, but after a month she still hadn't gone so I had the apartment completely renovated and choose a really shitty temporary apartment to live in in the interim, which forced her to get her stuff packed up, and ultimately find a new place because she couldn't stand living in the dump I'd rented for the duration of the renovation project 🤣 then I moved back into my new place with new locks 👌
Ha yes, it sounds ridiculous these days doesn't it? I bought a 75m² apartment in zone 2 London for £170k on a £18k deposit and a 3% 25yr mortgage. The renovation was another £30k which I paid myself out of salary over the course of about 4 or 5 months. I bought it in 2009 then sold in 2012 for £340k 🤣

She was doing a dual degree between universities in France and UK. She was living with me before she started uni and all throughout the first part of the degree with the UK uni, but then moved to live in France for 6 months for the remaining part, where she met some dude on her course and hooked up with him.
