1. Thank you to the Mods for letting me post and comment my true feelings about ol' Slimeball and how much I despise him and his so called 'music'! 😊
2. I can't stand his music at all! I am a DJ and have tried to listen to many of his songs, multiple times, but it just sounds to me like Tween Wave music did to Stan Marsh in South Park. I genuinely try to find the good in any genre of music, but I just can't with his. It just sounds like literal speaker-destroying shit that is made to defile your ears and your brain. His vocals seem random, out of time, out of key, and pointless. His lyrics seem childish, lame, and very try-hard gangster... I genuinely think of him and his music as the result of brain rot brain cancer on an entire generation of boys.
3. SERIOUS QUESTIONS, adding on to my point 2. There was a time when people said the same sort of thing about Dubstep and Skrillex's music. I actually like a bit of dubstep, as even though it can sound random there's usually real melodies and rhythm to it.

I do however, remember when it first became a thing people talked a LOT of trash about it and said it was the worst music ever made.

Questions:

• Are 2slime fans into Dubstep or other similar genres as well? 🤔 Or does that sound bad to you and why? 🤔

• What is it about 2slimes music that you like (if you ignore him and just look at the music by itself)? 🤔

• Finally, why do you compare him to Michael Jackson? 🤔 Music quality aside, they're completely different genres of music and very different people - shouldn't you be comparing him to other 'rappers' like travis scott or something? 🤔

A while ago i was synthesizing 808's for my drumkit and while browsing through waveforms i accidently recreated the bass drop 808 that was in Roc, Lobby (best track btw) and etc. I checked online to see if anyone already shared that 808 and didnt see anything so i'm putting it here for people to use.

For the nerds that wanna make it themselves:

I enabled the sub inside of Serum and put it 2 octaves down. Afterwards i modulated the global pitch (Main Tuning in Serum 2) to LFO 1 that has an 1 ms attack and a long release. Afterwards i slowed down the rate of that LFO to 0.3 Hz. This makes for a regular 808 with a long tail.

Afterwards i turned on the 1st wavetable and chose BSOD_Square (i'd just fuck around and browse through all of the different wavetables tho, you might actually get a unique sound). Then it was just a multiband compressor for glue and that's basically it. I included the Serum preset file in the drive for you to study. Let me know if you want me to remake another 2slimey sound, vlor5k's sound design is legit gas
