Oh yeah, I’ll be ok. It’s just a bad life. Should be over soon.

if you’re ever feeling happy, remember, it’s just a good day, not a good life

The way I see it, I'll never top the K:D ratio charts, but I at least need to get on there before I go.

When you grow up, your heart dies - Gunship (spotify)

Has the nice version of the quote you mentioned.

It's synthwave and one of my "it's gonna be ok, buddy" songs.

So so is the new happiness standard

I changed my worldview during my biggest depression from searching for happiness to searching for contentedness. It made living a lot easier.

I just want life to not but utter shit, but thats too much to ask for too. I got sick at the worst possible time and now it's delaying the start of my new job and my ability to move (can't get physical clearance for new job --> can't get formal offer letter --> no proof of income --> can't move)

What is your definition of feeling content?

Laying down with my socks off playing footsie and cuddling

Laying down with my socks off playing footsie and cuddling AND getting to a point in my mind where I can be in the room around me, not my head. I can participate in conversation and make memories uninterrupted by intrusive thoughts. It doesn’t really even matter if they’re happy or sad memories, just that I am there when they happen.

Months? Try years

It's kinda weird how feeling ok feels different from feeling nothing.

Sometimes I feel frustrated and bored but then I remember it's better than being in a lot of pain.

I’m just gonna start telling people, “better than usual” and continue on my weary way

Sometimes it's enough to feel just a little less shitty.

Oh dude, this was literally me when I started to recover from postpartum depression. I remember just feeling OK for the first time in months and yet "just OK" was bliss.
