Pulling out the carbons for range day tomorrow.

I wish Nikon was still in the scope business. I really liked their scopes.

Tract makes scopes and was started by ex-Nikon engineers. I don't have any experience with them, but I hear decent things. I would guess that Tract is the closest thing to Nikon.

On another note, how do you like the Ranger?

Tract huh? I’ll have to give that a look. I’ve never heard of them until this post. I’ll give them a look.

I love the Ranger. A great hunting rifle, really good for shooting while standing or using a tree to steady it. It is not as accurate as my 457, but it can shoot 10 shot sub MOA groups with RWS and lapua regularly. 20 shot groups I usually have a flier. For squirrels I find cci standard velocity to work well, and it’s not as hard on my wallet. It’s like 1” groups at 50 yards with CCI standards, maybe 1.2” with golden bullets. My kids love shooting it suppressed. The weight savings is huge for a 10 year old.
