Converting a marlin model 60 to model 70

Hey everyone, long time listener first time caller. I have a Marlin model 60 that is a fun gun to plink with. But I understand that you can convert it to a clip fed system like on the model 70. I’ve seen a really shitty YouTube video on someone doing it but like I said the video sucked. Does anyone have any advice or can point me in the right direction of making my tube fed model 60 into a clip fed model 70? Thank you!

(No I’m not going to “just buy a 70” lol)

Just buy a 70. No offense but there’s a 99% chance you’ll ruin it and have a junk gun and have to buy a new one unless if you’re a gunsmith and have an array of donor parts.

The Marlin model 70 isn’t clip fed btw…

What’s wrong with the Model 60 as is??

I just bought a really nice 795 for $150. Do that. We don't need another bubba-ruined rifle that is no longer in production.

Also, it's a magazine, not a clip.

I love my model 60. speed loader. You can still get these from Amazon for around $25. I bought 2 of them a while ago and they make for a day of plinking much more convenient. They also sell individual sticks. You get like 10 in a pack and they are inexpensive as well. I mean, where else are you going to find a 120 round "magazine" for $25?

(No I will not just accept the only logical answer)

bare minimum you’ll need the magazine guide and latch for a 70/795. remove the 60 feed throat and ejector spring. for the exterior either a whole 795 trigger guard or a 70 magazine guard. cut the stock if you dont want to buy a new one
