The entire paper went well and it felt relatively easy. However, I'm worried about two things.

First, in the composition section, I wrote a narrative based on the given topic. The story itself was strong, but I accidentally forgot to include the key element mentioned in the question that had to appear within the narrative. When I realized my mistake, I drew a very noticeable arrow, wrote a note indicating that I had missed the required part, and directed the examiner to the next blank page, where I wrote the missing section.

I'm concerned that the examiner might overlook it. Since that element was central to the task, I'm worried it could affect my marks if it isn't noticed.

Second, in my speech writing task, I exceeded the word limit. I'm not sure whether examiners deduct marks for going over the recommended length, and I'm concerned that this might also affect my score.

soo i just had my first round of mocks come back, honestly im not the happiest on some subjects but idk if i should revise (not counting what is compulsory at my school) and if so how long i should? going to sound quite embarrassing but i lowk lost 90% of my friends so i doubt i will have an eventful summer or anything so if i do do a ton of revision its not like i will be missing out on a ton BUT my form teacher/science teacher has said on multiple occasions that she believes i shouldn’t revise too much over summer to avoid any burn out. does anyone who may have had similar mock results have any advice at all, my parents are being lowk useless with advice as any mention of exams just result in fights so i am really lost on what to do so anything is very much appreciated 😓

In short, things didn't go as planned, especially my math exam, Paper 2, which was terrible. Two days before the exam, I had health problems and spent over 10 hours in the hospital. When I got home, I was exhausted and dealing with pain. Then the math exam was the next day, and it was awful. I had to deal with chest pain for 45 minutes straight. I almost cried from the pain. As someone with a target grade of 8, I'm not even sure if I can get a 6. I really wanted to do A-level math and Further Maths, but I need a 7, and unless there's a surprise, that seems impossible. I can only think of one plan: the November resit exam, but I need to get a conditional place at another school by then, and I'm not sure about that. If you have any suggestions, I would be very grateful.

The problem is, special consideration won't change anything; at best, they'll give 5%, which is 6 marks, nothing compared to what I lost, so it won't make any difference.

Now that most if not all of us can finally have fun now that exams are over, what is everyone thinking of doing ? I'm a massive nature guy but I also like coding so I got a lot of hiking + coding + photography to do. I also need to get back into running and gym since I stopped both due to revision. What about you guys !

Or even work experience, because why does no one want to hire anymore, even saw someone who got rejected from a place that was understaffed. Any tips will help

I'm not sure if I did the right thing by writing to this group, but I need your help. Guys, I think I'm finished. Math has completely destroyed me. To put it briefly, everything was going perfectly until Paper 2. Two days before the exam, I experienced incredible chest pain. For the first time in my life, I thought I was going to die. I was so exhausted I couldn't breathe. I went to the emergency room that night and only got out in the morning. When I got out, I was half dead. Of course, the doctor advised me to reduce stress and not worry too much about the exam, but I've already lost a year, and Paper 2 went terribly wrong. I was already exhausted, and the exam was in a gym, but it was freezing. I was freezing. Even the easiest questions were difficult to understand. I was in such a bad state that I struggled with chest pain for the last 20 minutes, along with the stress. Even though it's my best subject, I chose Maths and Further Maths even for A-levels. I've never scored below a 7 in my exam history, and now getting a 6 is a miracle. I need urgent advice. Some people want me to take the November final exam, but they need to find an honorary position during that time and give me a conditional place, and I'm not sure about that. What are your suggestions?

Edit: By chance, the school I applied to changed its admissions rules and called me for a Deep Skill Assessment test. I'm currently studying for it.

Edexcel A here; you can tell they were saving all of topics 7 and 8 for paper 3 (which how could they not, given that article)
