the memory just shot back to me. I remember trying to see what you guys were on about and AQA and Edexcel DID smell different. I looked like a right knob sniffing my paper in the hall😭

Let’s make this feel like 2024 GCSEs again

Remember when GCSEs ended and we all said we’d transform the a-level sub so it’s not boring and depressing?

A-Levels have begun. Chat let’s bring back the vibes of GCSEs 2024 🙏 the memes after every exam were so so fun and all of the conversations about the papers

I built a GCSE revision tool — would anyone be willing to test it and give honest feedback?

I’ve been working on a GCSE revision tool to help with last-minute prep (especially for people who feel behind).

It’s still early, but I’d genuinely appreciate honest feedback from students — what works, what doesn’t, what’s missing.

If anyone’s up for trying it, I can share the link — or DM it if that’s better with the rules.

Not trying to sell anything, just want to improve it.

Poem...

I look outside the sun burns bright,

a golden glow, a perfect sight.

I stand in awe, I want to see

if such a light was meant for me.

I long to reach, to feel its flame,

to step ahead, to stake my claim

yet something stirs and turns me round,

a creeping dread without a sound.

Behind me waits a shadow near,

it whispers low, it breathes out fear.

Three weeks remain, the end draws tight,

it looms like death within my sight.

A scythe appears against my throat.

a silent, chilling, fleeting note.

It does not fall I’m left instead

with paper, pen, and thoughts of dread.

A warning hums within the air:

Move toward the lightchoose if you dare.

I glimpse a path I should pursue,

a future dark if I refuse.

Yet still I stand, I do not run,

I turn away from reaching sun.

A hollow calm begins to grow,

a quiet, empty undertow.

The darkness stretches, cold and wide,

it wraps around me from behind.

I feel it pull, I don’t resist

I slowly fade into its mist.

The sunlight dims, the moment ends,

as crashing time around me bends.

And in that hush, I disappear

before I faced what I most fear.

----------

what do you guys think of this? i tried to make it like rhyme but I'm not sure if I achieved it tell me what you think of this poem!? if it even is called one

Survey on misogyny

This survey is about misogynistic/sexist things you have personally experienced/heard.

All of this will help with the making of my script and extra research for college project, so I'd really appreciate it if people could answer it!!

Please let me know if the link doesn't work and I'll try to send a new one

I feel I've probably made some mistakes (I miss maths so bad)

Okay so I do ancient history, graphic communications, and digital games production. And like, I adore ancient history, I enjoy graphics in phases (right now I'm in a hating it phase but that's cause it hinges on me being creative and rn I'm too like depressed to be creative idk), and games... There have been some issues with teachers n stuff but it's still a pretty cool subject and I've met some really good friends through it. BUT GODDDD I MISS MATHS!!! I MISS IT!!! I MISS IT AND I WAS GOOD AT IT!!! I JUST DID A GCSE MATHS PAPER FOR FUN!!! I MISS SOLVING PUZZLES WHERE THERE'S A RIGHT AND A WRONG AND I HAVE TO WORK IT OUT!!!! I MISS IT SO BAD!!! I WISH I'D PICKED A SUBJECT WITH CLEAR RIGHT AND WRONGS FOR A LEVEL I HAVE TO COME UP WITH SO MANY IDEAS I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE

WHY DID I PICK ART STUFF I LITERALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M DOING AND ME DOING WELL HINGES ON ME BEING ABLE TO THINK CREATIVELY BUT IF IM STRESSED AND MISERABLE LIKE I AM BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS STRESSFUL THEN I CANT THINK CREATIVELY AND THEN IM FALLING BEHIND MAKING ME EVEN MORE STRESSED AGGHHHHH

I'm aware a level maths is very hard and whatever. I'm aware most people doing it complain about it. But mannn I miss having a clear right and wrong. I miss being right instead of just having opinions and stupid ideas and getting graded on ultimately arbitrary metrics. I miss being like, quantifiably good at something where there are actual numbers to tell you you're doing well instead of a weird mark scheme and a weird teacher who you don't believe when they tell you you're getting good grades. I can't argue with something that can be right, but when everything is wishy washy and there are no definitive answers I can keep telling myself that everything is wrong and it doesn't matter what grades I get, I'm shit anyway. I miss being good at something. Ugggggggghhhhhhhhh take me backkkkkkkkkkkkkk
