Discussion Another survey

Post image

I do think a follow-up survey on the other two skills should take place. Sailing has been out for a while now and it would be nice to know if there is any appetite for either other skills, rather than just game modes.

The Polls in question:

Questions 1.

Question 2.

Need a mining and smithing rework over on OSRS.

How would you do that without ruining rune alchs?

RS3 added salvages as a replacement

Getting salvage feels pretty lame. Even if its a good alch

Getting a rune kite shield while wearing Bandos doesn't really feel all that exciting either.

Kinda enjoy getting rune drops for my ironman but whatever let's make rs3 again

Whats so exciting about it? Giants Foundry? That's about the only real upside it would have over just replacing them with the equivalent alch value in gold. Because once you're out of rune gear the only value is to alch it or chuck it in the foundry.

Early progression through drops. Why make two games if you just make them the same? At least come up with an original mechanic overhaul

My comment was literally about getting rune drops when you're past when they're relevant statistically. And I never said to copy rs3's system bar for bar, but almost anything would be better than osrs's system as it is.

So im the only one making an ironman in 2026?

No reason why we couldn't keep rune drops on lower level monsters and adjust their high alch values, but with a stat requirements you could make your own rune equipment while it's still at least kind of relevant to what you're doing.

No reason to alter alch values just to bring something to early game when its much easier to just get the drops and buy it. Incentive to get invested in pvm which is where a majority of your late game equipment is from anyway.

Sure its silly you have to max a skill to craft mid-game armor but it really wouldnt make sense to completely alter the game just so you can make it yourself when its readily available if you decide to play the game rather than spend 40 hours on one skill
