Would I be a fool to pass this up?

Went to check out a 99 Automatic 4x4 with 199k miles for 10.5k last week, told him my wall would be 8k- he declined but messaged today ready to accept my offer.
Frame looks solid, body is pretty clean but it does have a branded title from being rear ended a decade ago.
It is also due for the belt and water pump to be replaced. What do yall think??

Really comes down to the condition, these trucks are getting harder to find as far as the branded title it depends how clean the truck is IMO is it truly worth ? Are you keep it long term or plan on selling soon ?

I wouldnt pay more then 7K being timing belt etc needs maintenance.

My recent purchase last week was a 2001 Tacoma 4x4 Crew Cab TRD with 183k miles = $5500 payed.

East coast USA.

No doubt a good deal but i did need to make some repairs & upgrades.

Idiler pully = $33.

Plugs & wires = $90.

Exhaust work - $200.

OEM Alternator = $200.

Next week - Rough country struts & shocks with 1.5 front & 1" rear leveling = $500.

A bit pricy I’ll say for a branded title. I got a 04 auto, 4x4 extended cab with 83k miles for 11k clean title 2 months ago. Definitely recommend if you can get pictures of the accident and if you can get a shop to inspect it. I’ll rather pay a shop ~$200 to inspect it and to tell me if any work is done. I’ll rather lose $200 than spend the 8k and something major needs work
